Mozart’s Divertimento No. 15 is a masterful performance that showcases the Berlin Philharmonic’s string ensemble at its very best. Music critic Hidekazu Yoshida raved about the performance on the previously released CD, praising the beauty of the fourth movement in particular as “exquisite.” In *Don Juan*, they masterfully paint a magnificent, dazzling orchestral tapestry. The highlight is “The Pines of Rome.” The Berlin Philharmonic’s brass section explodes with sound, overwhelming the listener with a dynamic performance. All of these are rare recordings for which no other video recordings exist. These video recordings capture the pinnacle of artistry by Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic at the height of their careers.
