The performances are so carefully crafted that each piece is truly moving. The SACD version of the Messiaen concerto is also very effective because of its large orchestral ensemble and sensual sound. This is a remarkable disc released on the 30th anniversary of Messiaen's death in 2022. The booklet includes a commentary by Eiko Kasaha, which appeared in the program at the time. It is written in considerable volume and detail, and is very valuable as a document that can be read in Japanese.
