Alfa Mist
Description:
His preference for film music has remained unchanged since the age of 15, when he first began composing music. The process of sampling in beat production led him to jazz and film music, and by the time he was 17, he had taught himself to play the keyboard. The music that he produces is dark and darker, with a strong sense of the world around him, and a strong sense of the world around him. His music is dark and complex, yet so organic and groovy that you don't feel it at all. His musical tastes for John Coltrane, J Dilla, and Hans Zimmer are filtered through Alfa Mist to create a music that is free of any musical contradictions or superfluous imitations. The music is sublimely expressed through the filter of Alfa Mist, avoiding any musical contradictions or useless imitations. It is as beautifully stripped down and eloquent as a one-line formula compiled by a scholar who has seen and heard many conflicts, influences, and philosophies. While the previous album used conversations with his brother about mental health and family community throughout the album, this album is interspersed with conversations with his sister about argumentative culture and personal growth. He expresses the view that everything that governs who he is today is influenced by his environment and society, that the process of coming from a place where he did not even have the means to communicate has shaped who he is, and that for him structuralism is about recognizing and accepting that this is who he is. This is a very conservative viewpoint for a person who is currently the focus of worldwide attention. Even after seeing an unknown newcomer's work receive over 5 million views on YouTube despite no promotion, having his music featured on Frank Ocean's show, and witnessing the global success of his compatriot Tom Misch, with whom he shares the same scene in his hometown, he is still not satisfied with the spirit that he sees in the music of the world. Even after witnessing the international success of his compatriot Tom Misch, with whom he shares the local scene, his spiritual world is as beautiful and serene as his musicality, as if he were peering into a deep and silent darkness. Kaya also contributes vocals and artwork. The rest of the musicians on this album are almost the same as on the previous album, but the most notable addition is Rocco Palladino's participation.A live video of him with his quartet with Yussef Dayes and Munsur Brown was also a hot topic, and from that connection, a brave jazzman who aspires to be the same bassist as that great father also joined the production. Perhaps it is in this third album of his career that we come to understand Alfa Mist's stance and philosophy. He is most aware of his own growth and change, and consciously incorporates it into his work. He keeps his eyes fixed on a point far away and continues to contemplate towards it. This music has to be played over and over again, and it will be played over and over again. Sometimes this music speaks to us, and sometimes it even listens to our voices, which it is supposed to be listening to. A dialogue with the structure is created here.
