Peter White, a British-born contemporary jazz icon who has remained committed to the nylon-string acoustic guitar, has completed an album. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of his professional debut, Peter White releases "Light of Day," the culmination of his career with guest artists Rick Brown and Ernie Watts, and a collection of songs he produced for Taiwanese airline STARLUX Airline in 2016 and 2019, "Groovin'" and "Music For STARLUX Airline" in 2019. Music For STARLUX Airlines", a compilation of songs created for Taiwanese airline STARLUX Airlines in 2019, this long-awaited album opens with "Catalonia", a passionate groove with a memorable feel. The album opens with the ballad "I Love You Still" featuring saxophonist Vincent Ingala, one of the most exciting young artists in smooth jazz, "Till I See You Again" dedicated to guitarist Nick Colionne, and "Cityscape" with Rick Brown. Cityscape" with Rick Brown is a gem with a pleasant medium-tempo groove.Each song is smooth, catchy, and contains the shimmering sound of a nylon-string guitar being clawed. I love music that takes me on a journey, whether it's pop, jazz, or classical. I'm at a point in my career where I'm less concerned with people's reactions and more concerned with whether this music captures my senses and takes me where I need to be."
