Swedish rock champions H.E.A.T. are back with their eagerly awaited eighth album. When H.E.A.T. was formed, the band was in its early 20s, and at the time, melodic hard rock bands with young members were very rare. In 2009, the band performed at LOUD PARK and became extremely popular in Japan. However, in 2010, Kenny Lecremo (vocals) left the band, and Eric Gronwall joined the band. Erik Gronwall (Vo) was selected and became one of the top bands in Sweden, but Dave Dallon (Gt) left the band in 2013. Eric Rivers (Gt), who joined in Dave's place, also left in 2016. In 2020, Eric (Vo) left and Kenny (Vo) returned. After a decade of twists and turns, the original members are back together and will release their eighth album in 2022 with "Force Majeure" and now "Welcome to the Future". Heat is now in its 18th year, and each of them has been recognized in various fields for their abilities. Kenny (Vo) has joined Avantasia's new album led by Tobias Sametz as a guest vocalist, Jimmy (Ba) has joined Christian Fehr's Ginevra, and Jonah (Key) has joined his own roots, the Jonah (Key) is active in various projects such as New Horizon, which he started in order to pursue his roots in power metal. The melodies produced by these talented musicians are always evolving while retaining the atmosphere of the 80s. Also, Dave Dallon (Gt) changed his name to Sky D (Gt) sometime between the last album in 2022 and the release of this album. This album is about the future, and each song is a chapter and a story.The first track, Disaster, starts with keyboards reminiscent of the 80's and is an up-tempo, catchy song that makes you want to hum along. The chorus that accompanies Kenny's voice as if he is talking to the main character is very moving. This is a superb album that will make even those who have never heard of melodic hard rock music become fans.
