Features the world’s first oboe arrangement of “Four Last Songs”!\nTomoyuki Hirota, one of Japan’s leading oboists—a prominent figure in the woodwind section of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and a soloist with a versatile and dynamic career—presents his latest album. This release features Richard Strauss’s Oboe Concerto, one of the most important works in the oboe repertoire. Although this is Hirota’s second recording of the piece, his current musical brilliance—honed by age and musical experience as he reaches the pinnacle of his career—combined with his balanced and assured technique, has resulted in a performance that stands as the definitive interpretation of this work, surpassing even those of past legendary masters. While the performance brims with the energy of a live concert, the supporting ensemble of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra is superb, adding rich color to the recording. The coupling is also noteworthy: it features the “Four Last Songs,” a popular song cycle, recorded for oboe and piano. This marks the world’s first recording of this work on the oboe. The oboe renders the soprano’s beautiful nuances and delicate resonance with even greater depth of expression. You can hear a beautiful melody that sounds as if the piece were originally composed for a wind instrument. The accompaniment is provided by Ikumi Miwa, who honed her skills in Vienna, weaving together beautiful harmonies and melodies. Centered on two important works from R. Strauss’s later years, this beautiful oboe album has been created.\nOctavia Records\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Cryston","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53595513585953,"sku":"4526977810788","price":3143.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4526977810788.jpg?v=1790481433","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/4526977810788","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
