This warm, enveloping baritone is a voice that will speak to listeners of any generation.\n\n\u003ctadahiro sakashita\u003e\nGraduated in voice from the Faculty of Music of Toho Gakuen School of Music, and completed the third year of the university's graduate research course. Completed the masterclass of the 53rd Nikikai Opera Studio. Won the Grand Prize (first prize) and the Nakada Yoshinao Prize at the 9th Yoshinao Nakada Memorial Competition, among many other awards. He has appeared as a soloist in Mozart's Requiem, Fauré's Requiem and other works. His opera roles include Count Almaviva in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, the title role in Don Giovanni, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, Ben in Menotti's The Telephone, Abimélech in Saint-Saëns's Samson et Dalila and Mandryka in Richard Strauss's Arabella. He is also a committed advocate of Japanese works, having sung Yosuke in Minoru Miki's Joruri. In March 2012 he appeared as Yakuside in the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Opera Project production of Madama Butterfly. In the autumn of the same year he took two leading roles, to great acclaim, in Walter Gieger's Yuhi no Mimi (Ears of the Setting Sun) — a work of mysterious beauty combining chamber opera and Noh dance — presented by Suntory Hall. The great pianist Dalton Baldwin praised him as \"a singer, very rarely met with, born with the French esprit, musicality and voice all together\", and he attended the Académie Internationale d'Été de Nice on a scholarship, receiving a diploma. In the autumns of 2012 and 2013 he appeared with Mr Baldwin in the concerts \"Fauré \u0026amp; Schumann in Tokyo\" and \"Poulenc in Tokyo — 50 Years since Poulenc's Death\". In September 2014 he made his major-label debut as a member of La Dill, the four-man vocal unit produced by Ami Ozaki, whose mini-album \"Nioitatsu Kaze\" was released by Nippon Crown Records.
