The album boldly blends soul, psychedelia, spaghetti western, disco, gospel, and hip-hop, impressively showcasing the breadth of Frazer’s musical talent. “This album is the clearest portrait of me as an artist,” Frazer says of the record. While retaining his falsetto and classic songwriting style, he has firmly rooted *Into the Blue* in the present era by weaving together various genres and production techniques, with a hip-hop mentality at its core. *IntoTheBlue* was born out of heartbreak. After ending a long-term relationship, Frazer moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and embarked on a journey that is reflected in the album’s themes of grief, loneliness, and the search for healing. He then enlisted Grammy Award-winning producer Alex Goose—known for his collaborations with hip-hop artists such as Freddie Gibbs, Madlib, and Brockhampton—as the album’s co-producer.
