This album, completed with Shun Ishiwaka (drums) and Shota Watanabe (piano/synthesizer), is the fifth in a series of explorations into the "trio" format that Holoubek has been working on for many years.

This new trio album features Australian bassist Marty Holoubek, who has been steadily increasing his presence in the current Japanese music scene by participating in the works of various artists regardless of genre, including SMTK, to which he belongs. The members of the trio are different for each release, and this time they will be joined by drummer Shun Ishiwaka, who also works with SMTK, and Marty Holoubek, who has supported Nariaki Kobukuro, New School Leaders, and other artists from various fields, and arranged music for "FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH". He has worked with Shota Watanabe, a pianist who is active both in Japan and abroad as a songwriter and arranger. This time around, the trio dares to return to the "traditional" piano trio format, but adds a unique twist by having Holobeck play only acoustic bass guitar throughout. Reuniting with longtime friends Ishiwaka and Watanabe, the trio blends acoustic bass guitar, piano, synthesizer, and drums to create a new and unprecedented sound world. All members of the trio participated in the composition of the recorded music, pursuing textures and sounds that are unique to this formation. This album promises a fresh and exciting musical experience that transcends the framework of jazz. Furthermore, this album is the first of a two-part "Trio IV," with a sequel to be released in March of next year. The next album will bring electric bass, synthesizers, grand piano, and double bass to the forefront, further expanding and deepening the sound world. Trio IV" will cross the boundaries of sound lightly, and we hope you will experience the moment when the creativity of the three members intersects with each other.

Tracklisting:

1.Alas I Hear No Giant (feat.
