Elastic Days" was recorded at J Mascis' studio, Bisquiteen. J Mascis himself played most of the instruments, but Ken Miauri (The B-52's, Pedro the Lion, The Mammals), who also played on the previous album, Tied to a Star, played keyboards. Guest vocals were added by J Mascis' longtime friends Pall Jenkins (Black Heart Procession), Mark Mulcahy (Miracle Legion), and Zoe Randell (Luluc). J Mascis' softer approach on "Elastic Days" can easily be compared to the two approaches that Neil Young uses on his solo and Crazy Horse. The vocal melodicism may be due to the fact that he took a few vocal lessons and started warming up," said Mascis. But the big difference between this album and the others is the drums. I don't get to play drums very often now, so I played a lot more drums than I originally planned," J Mascis said. The first single from the album, "See You At The Movies," will be released in August 2018, and tour dates beginning in November were announced at the same time.

Tracklisting:

.See You At The Movies
.Web So Dense
.I Went Dust
.Sky Is All We Had
.Picking Out The Seeds
.Give It Off
.Drop Me
.Cut Stranger
.Elastic Days
.Sometimes
.Wanted You Around
.Everything She Said
