Description:

An unlikely collaboration of rock and jazz. The personal history of music that everyone has experienced is colored in a borderless and gorgeous way. Yuko Kawabane is an attractive singer with a beautiful voice and outstanding vocal ability. This work is not only a jazz work, but also a most advanced and excellent work. It is a fusion of jazz and rock. Let Yuko Kawabane herself speak about it. I have been thinking how fun it would be to combine jazz and rock into one song. I have always cherished Jazz numbers and the world view of Rock. It is a fusion rather than a genre-crossing. Because they are mixed, there are no boundaries, and they are truly borderless. Yuko Kawabane was born in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. Her mother is Nobuko Endo, a chanson singer. Influenced by her mother, she naturally became familiar with singing from an early age. From junior high school through high school, she was a member of the chorus club. She went on to a university in Kansai, where she was a member of the ESS (English Study Society). He studied abroad in the United States and lived in Louisville, the largest city in Kentucky. Here he was exposed to American music and authentic jazz. After returning to Japan, she began her career as a jazz singer.Yuko Kawabane began studying music in New York every year, and in 2007, she recorded "eight of new yorkers". The members were Tomoko Ohno (p), Noriko Ueda (b), and Taro Okamoto (ds), an elite group active in New York. Tomoko Ohno also participated in this album as an arranger. This album features five of Japan's top musicians: Yasuhiro Kohama (ts, ss), Hiroki Hirate (p, or, tp), Junpei Doso (g), Hiroyuki Kitagawa (b), and Shota Asai (ds). The bass player, Hiroyuki Kitagawa, is a major player in the jazz scene in the Tokai region. The important arrangements for this album were done by Hiroki Hirate and the aforementioned Tomoko Ohno, and their talented arrangements resulted in an unlikely fusion of jazz and rock, a sound that everyone can enjoy, exciting music, and an album with such a new and innovative sound.
