The complete Bruckner symphonies recorded between 2005 and 2012 by Blomstedt and the Gewandhaus Orchestra, previously released on the Querstand label, are now available in a new 10-CD box set from ACCENTUS MUSIC, The complete Bruckner symphonies recorded between 2005 and 2012 were previously released on the Querstand label, but due to an expired license, they have not been available on the market for some time. Speaking of Blomstedt's Bruckner recordings, he once conducted the Staatskapelle Dresden and recorded No. 4 (1981\/DENON) and No. 7 (1980\/DENON). Later, he recorded No. 6 (1990\/DECCA) and No. 4 (1993\/DECCA) with the San Francisco Symphony, and No. 9 (1995\/DECCA) with the Gewandhaus Orchestra, which is a masterpiece that is still very popular today. In addition, there is No. 9 with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (2009) and No. 3 with the Berliner Philharmoniker (2017), both of which are superb examples of how well Blomstedt has performed in recent years, with meticulous performances that strongly project Blomstedt's view of Bruckner. Blomstedt, who succeeded Kurt Masur as music director of the Gewandhaus Orchestra in 1998, has been training hard until the end of his term in 2005, further refining his functionality and tone, and developing his sound to be tighter and more powerful. Blomstedt, who has earned tremendous trust during his seven years as Chef of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, continues to regularly step to the podium as Honorary Conductor.
