Since the opera was performed at the Corona Disaster, the audience of 50 people and the orchestra performed remotely from the rehearsal room in Kreuzplatz, 1 km away, but the images showed no such barriers and the performance was vivid and brilliant. ≪Simon Boccanegra\" is the 20th opera Verdi wrote at the age of 43, featuring Simon Boccanegra, who actually lived in 14th century Genoa, and is a human drama with complex political backgrounds and human relationships. Furthermore, it is known as a challenging work, as it requires five talented singers: three male bass singers, a tenor, and a soprano. This year's performance is also notable for the first title role in this program for Christian Gerhaherl, one of the best Lieder singers of our time. This performance is also noteworthy in terms of understanding the view of opera and music by one of the leading conductors of our time.
