Hoffmann's original story, is now available in a very enjoyable \"Nutcracker\" video! The \"Nutcracker\" is a famous Tchaikovsky masterpiece, and the choreographer Marius Petipa (using Dumas' French translation), who is also known as the father of classical ballet, rewrote the fairy tale \"The Nutcracker and the King of the Mice\" by E.T.A. Hoffmann as a ballet piece, which is usually performed. The work is usually performed as a rewrite for ballet. The Zurich Ballet's production on this release was choreographed by Christian Spück, the company's artistic director, and faithfully follows E.T.A. Hoffmann's original work. Since the emphasis is on the story, the staging has a strong theatrical element, and the characters of the roles stand out, allowing the audience to enter the world of the story along with the dancers' dancing. The synopsis of the original story is that it is Christmas Day in an old German town with snow falling steadily. The main character, Marie, loves a nutcracker in the shape of a soldier that her godfather, Uncle Drosselmeyer, gave her as a present. But her brother Fritz breaks it, and when Marie wakes up in the middle of the night after going to sleep to patch up the broken doll.... Children and adults alike will be drawn to the magical world where dreams and reality intersect on Christmas night.
