She has performed with pianist Vladimir Staupel on numerous occasions, and since 2006 has been actively exploring unusual repertoire, receiving high acclaim for her concerts and recordings. This series, \"Concert Santener\" is one such effort. Based on the theme of composers who lived during World War I, the violin works of Rudy Stephan, Alberic Magnard, Louis Vierne, and Fauré have been released on three CDs and are now available as a set. Stefan and Magnard, whose works are included in \"Concert Saint Honor I,\" are composers who lost their lives in World War I despite having great promise for the future.Rudy Stephan's \"Grotesque\" for violin and piano, written at the age of 24, is his only chamber music work. It belongs to the late Romantic to Expressionist period, and uses a challenging musical language characterized by colorful and striking contrasts. Alberic Magnard is a French composer who studied under Massenet and Dandy, and as a successor to Franck, he is known for his rich melodies and classical formal beauty. Magnard's Violin Sonata was composed in 1901 and dedicated to Ysaÿe. It is an attractive work with tranquility and structural beauty reminiscent of Franck's Violin Sonata, as well as sentimental and sweet music that moves the emotions.
