The series has so far released Nos. 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, all of which have received high acclaim for their rich performances, and will now release Symphony No. 1, recorded at a concert at the Gewandhaus in January 2015. Chailly has completed a complete cycle of Mahler's symphonies with the Concertgebouw Orchestra, but this cycle with the Gewandhaus Orchestra is quite different. The tempo is faster with the Gewandhaus Orchestra, and the interpretation is different. Schee also talks about the metronome symbols in detail in the bonus video, and refers to his recordings with the great masters of the past, Mengelberg and Walter, and Schee's tempo setting in recent years has been designed to return to the intentions of those masters who directly confronted Mahler, and by extension, Mahler himself. In his response to the First Symphony, Schee says, \"The tempo of the First Symphony is very different from the tempo of the Symphony No. 1.This is Mahler's unmistakable masterpiece, anticipating the vast sound world he would create in later years. This is a disc in which you can hear the music that Schee spent many years contemplating, conducted with clarity and sharpness, and you will also gain a deeper understanding of the work by viewing both the performance and the bonus video. The excellent camerawork and spectacular editing, which is a unique feature of \"ACCENTUS MUSIC,\" are also appealing as a video product. The cover design is by Neo Rauch, a contemporary artist from Leipzig who has been used throughout the series.
