One of the highlights of their visit is, of course, the appearance of dramatic soprano Deborah Polaski, who will sing the role of “Ariane.” While this opera shares the same source story, it’s interesting to note that—perhaps because the librettist is different—it has a slightly different feel compared to Bartók’s well-known *Bluebeard*.
