Volumes 1 through 3 were released by MITRACLASSICS.\nHans Fehrmann (1860–1940) was born in Beich, in the Meissen district of Saxony. From 1890 to 1926, he served as cantor at St. Johannes Church in Dresden, and during the same period, he also taught organ at the Dresden Conservatory.\nOrgan Sonata No. 6 is believed to have been composed around 1905–06. It is in three movements, with the final movement being a magnificent fugue. “Song of Farewell and Freedom” is a large-scale work consisting of 10 pieces and lasting over 50 minutes.\nDietrich von Knöbel is a German organist born in 1959.
