He first studied under Klára Kádár at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, then under Ivan Galamian at the Juilliard School. He attended master classes with Ida Handel in Montreal and André Gertrud at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, graduating with honors. After winning first prize in numerous competitions—including the Hungarian International Competition at the Liszt Academy and the Henri Vautin International Competition in Belgium—he launched his career with a series of large-scale concert tours that took him not only throughout Europe but also to the United States and Asia. Alongside his solo and chamber music activities, he has served as concertmaster of the Munich Radio Orchestra since 1982.
