He is a technical pianist, of course, but he has a beautiful touch and a unique, colorful phrasing, and in Grieg's concerto, the second theme of the first movement, the second movement, and the second theme of the third movement are exceptionally rich in flavor and numbing in their beauty. It is rare today to find a pianist who can create such mysterious nuances, and among the many masterful performances of the same piece, this is one of the few that is as lustrous as this. However, this is not a performance that is drowned in sentimentality, but rather a performance that is neatly written in block style and full of reassurance.
