Reimann is one of the most remarkable composers in the world, with his works being performed in the repertoire of opera houses in Europe and the United States. In Japan, his operas \"Medea\" (2012) and \"Lear\" (2013), both premiered in Japan at the Nissay Theatre, have been much talked about. Originally written for mezzo-soprano, \"Enveloped in Darkness\" is a series of nine songs for solo unaccompanied voice, based on a poem by Paul Czeran, a 20th century German-Jewish poet.In this CD, countertenor Tim Sevreau sings with the clarity and rigidity unique to countertenors. In this CD, countertenor Tim Severeau sings with a clear and hard voice that is unique to countertenors. In this CD, Tim Sevreau sings with the clarity and rigidity characteristic of a countertenor. This is because the \"Nine Pieces\" for orchestra corresponds to \"Enveloped in Darkness,\" which is placed before it. The \"Nine Pieces,\" which was written immediately after \"Enveloped in Darkness,\" corresponds to each piece of the previous Lieder, but creates a new world as a completely unique work. Listening to them side by side, one can trace the trajectory of Reimann's creative process. The deep interpretation of Eschenbach's work is also noteworthy.
