Bach \u0026amp; Weiss! Johannes Plamzoller, a baroque violinist of the \"21st century generation\" who has made his way from South Tyrol to the world, has established his own label, Audax Records. Johannes Plamzoller's new recordings include Johann Sebastian Bach and Silvius Leopold Weiss, a suite born from the encounter of two geniuses. BWV.1025, also known as \"Suite for Violin and Obligato Harpsichord,\" is based on Weiss's solo lute suite, which was rewritten by the great Bach for harpsichord with the addition of a violin part. For a long time, Bach's work was the subject of speculation, but in 1991 it was discovered that Weiss and Bach had collaborated on the work. Johannes Plamzoller performs it with a combination of violin and lute that is close to the original form, along with Weiss and Bach's respective unaccompanied lute and solo violin masterpieces. Also, look out for the \"Chaconne\" on a P.G. Rogeri 1713 violin, the instrument of choice inherited from Reinhard Goebel!
