Founded in 1996 by E. Bardon, who gained performance experience under figures such as Figueras and Savall, the group specializes in medieval and Renaissance Spanish and Arabic music. One of the ensemble’s greatest attractions is its vibrant sound, which makes generous use of traditional instruments such as the oud and the qanun (a zither-like lute).
