Ya!!!! France, early 60's... The contemporary music movement flourishes. Pedagogue Célestin Freynet began to implement a new approach to music education in schools, encouraging free expression. He encouraged free expression: "Anything in the classroom that can make a sound... springs, bottles, wash basins, dismantled piano frames, drums, bamboo... wild improvisations with very early DIY elements, primitive a cappella, dissonance, or magnetic tape, experiments with disappearing folk songs... These recordings, with a truly free-thinking approach, were compiled into dozens of recordings between 1962 and 1982. Moreover, the music was collected mainly from rural school children, not privileged children from high-society cultural backgrounds. A total of 23 songs are packed with the free-spiritedness of the so-called Children's Records, and this is the best part of the music: !!!! The liner notes are in English and French. The LP version comes with a 20-page booklet.

Tracklisting:

.Nadine Perron / The Ocean
.Enfants de 9 a 1a ans / Metallophone basse, xylophone, batterie
.Olivier / Francais
.Dede avec Gaby a l'Ariel / L'oiseau rare
.Sandrine Lanoux et Pascal Panizut / Larsen et percussion
.FP1 a l'ecole normale de St Germain en Laye / Voix, guitare, petites percussions
.Anne Krikorian et Andrea Debret / Laissez moi rever
.Lionel Tasquier / Hiroshima
.Genevieve Marty / L'enfant de la liberte
.Gerard, Marc, et Roger 9 ans / Avec quelques instruments simples
.Isabelle et Christain / Ariel et Guitare
.Dominique Colas / C'etait l'histoire
.Bernard / Une petite fleur (joue tres doux)
.Une equipe de jeunes enfants / Saturne
.Jean, Patrice, Herve / Discutent
.Jean-Paul / Une petite fleur (joue a l'aigu)
.Monique / Le vent (invente par Bernard 8 ans)
.Club de danse de l'ecole / Les monstres (Jeu dramatique danse)
.Enfant inconnu / C'est triste de quitter ses amis
