For these achievements, she was inducted into the Gramophone Hall of Honor in 2015.\n\n\n\nAngela Hewitt began playing piano at the age of three and gave her first recital at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto at the age of nine.He then studied with French pianist Jean-Paul Sevilla at the University of Ottawa and began his international career by winning the Toronto International Bach Piano Competition in 1985. He has performed in the world's most prestigious concert halls, including New York's Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House, and has appeared at many prominent music festivals, including Lucerne, Verbier, Osaka, Prague, Lincoln Center, and the BBC Proms.
