Jancevskis studied piano at the Jāzeps Medins Riga 1st Music School and earned a diploma in choral conducting from the Riga Cathedral Choir School. He studied composition with Serga Mense at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Jānis Petraškevičs’s class.\nJancevskis’s music is described as a “beautiful enigma,” imbued with heartfelt messages that bypass intellectual filters. The program features eight pieces, including “Ebb Tide,” set to a Polish poem; “Coldness,” sung with Latvian lyrics; a religious work in Latin; and “At That Moment,” taken from *Romeo and Juliet* (Act 3, Scene 2).
