Now, “Cinquecento” has recorded the Masses of Johannes de Cleve, a composer who served at the court of the Austrian Habsburgs.\nHe served as a singer in the Vienna Chapel under Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand I, the founder of the Austrian Habsburg dynasty, and later became the first Kapellmeister at the Graz Chapel, newly established by Ferdinand’s son, Charles II.
