Bach’s concerto recordings are now available as a limited-edition 2-CD set!\n\nThree of C.P.E. Bach’s cello concertos survive, all composed during his most productive period in Berlin. Believed to have been written with a renowned virtuoso of the time in mind, these works are characterized by elegant eloquence, with obvious contrasts kept to a minimum. From the opening movements to the joy-filled final movement, this is a work that allows listeners to fully appreciate the beauty of C.P.E. Bach’s melodies. This set features two acclaimed recordings by Keras—a musician renowned for his astonishing virtuosity and keen musicality—performed with Ensemble Resonanz, led by Minaj. Ensemble Resonanz is a string ensemble comprising 18 elite musicians who captivate listeners with their incisive interpretations of works ranging from the classical masterpieces of the past to contemporary music; they are, without a doubt, the perfect musical partners for Keras. Keras served as Artist-in-Residence from 2010 to 2013, and Minaj from 2018 to 2020.\nKraft was born in a small town in Bohemia, studied at Charles University in Prague, and took lessons from Werner, who is also known for his cello method book. He moved to Vienna, where he captivated audiences with his virtuosic cello playing. He served as principal cellist in the orchestra of Nicholas I Joseph Esterházy and, while performing various works under the baton of J. Haydn, also studied composition. It is said that Haydn’s Cello Concerto in D major and the cello part of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, Op. 56, were written for Kraft, which gives a sense of just how outstanding a performer he was. Kraft’s cello concertos are astonishing for their wide range and virtuosic demands, yet Keras performs them with a lightness of touch that makes such challenges seem effortless; in the second movement, he even displays a playful ease.\n\n(HMM-902392 and HMM-902331 combined in an O-card case)\nHARMONIAMUNDI\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Harmonia Mundi","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52490344628513,"sku":"3149020957592","price":4221.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/3149020957592.jpg?v=1774486318","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/3149020957592","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
