He studied at the Paris Conservatory under Olivier Messiaen and Nadia Boulanger. Along with Pierre Schaeffer, he is regarded as a pioneer of “musique concrète,” a branch of electronic music. The two composed the first masterpiece of electronic music, *Symphony for a Man*. Nine years later, Henri established his own studio, “APSOME,” and devoted himself to experimental and electroacoustic music.
