This recording, the first made for Argo, is conducted with remarkable empathy by the Hungarian-born conductor Antal Dorati, who became a friend of the composer. Walton’s *Façade*, recorded in 1972 and also released by Argo, holds a unique place as the composer’s only stereo recording of the score. The narrators are Peggy Ashcroft and Paul Scofield. The 1975 recording of *The Soldier’s Tale* features Glenda Jackson—winner of the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the film *The Women*—as narrator.\nUniversal Music\/IMS\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Australian Eloquence\/Decca","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53374658150689,"sku":"28948422005","price":2511.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/28948422005.jpg?v=1787632230","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/28948422005","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
