This analog EP commemorates the birth of “MalTakeEbisu”—a nostalgic yet fresh Kyoto repertoire featuring arrangements of children’s songs passed down through generations in Kyoto—paying homage to the timeless appeal of “Kyoto Nostalgia,” the hit song originally performed by Yuko Nagisa based on a classic by The Ventures.\n\nThis analog EP features the ending themes for the drama series *The Secret Pleasures of Kyoto People* and its sequel, *The Secret Pleasures of Kyoto People: Rouge—Succession—*, sung by Kaori Takeda. Both songs were arranged by Kaitaro Abe, who composed the music for both drama series. “Kyoto Nostalgia,” a cover of a classic song by The Ventures, has been well-received since the initial broadcast of *The Secret Pleasures of Kyoto* in 2015. Takeda expresses the subtle nuances of emotion intertwined with Kyoto’s scenery with great charm, leaving a pleasant afterglow. The ending theme for the third installment in the series, *The Secret Pleasures of Kyoto: Rouge—Succession—*, is based on the children’s songs “Marutake Ebisu” and “Teramiyuki,” which help children memorize the names of Kyoto’s streets. In keeping with the drama’s storyline, director and screenwriter Takashi Minamoto and Kaitaro Abe wrote French lyrics and reconstructed them into a single song: “MalTakeEbisu.” The nostalgic melody, the light rhythm created by the street names, and the elegant resonance of the French lyrics—all are seamlessly woven together by Takeda’s vocals, resulting in a song that has become a beloved addition to Kyoto’s musical repertoire, feeling both nostalgic and fresh. This analog EP pays homage to the universality of “Kyoto Bojo” and celebrates the birth of “MalTakeEbisu.” The cover artwork is by musician and painter Kazuhiro Nishiwaki.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Theatre Musica","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53063167836449,"sku":"2050269083670","price":1936.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/2050269083670.jpg?v=1786271506","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/2050269083670","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
