He re-learned the fundamentals of composition, rebuilding harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration from the ground up to write the score. With the expert support of Joseph Stevenson, this meticulously constructed work gives every instrument and voice its own “place to speak.”\n\nRecording took place across more than 10 countries, featuring the North Netherlands Orchestra and Chorus, as well as close collaborators Darby Todd, Mike Kennery, James Leach, and Steve Vai, Aneke van Garsbergen, and Lynn Ou. Hundreds of musicians, engineers, mixers, and artists have contributed to this massive creative endeavor.\n\nThe central theme of *The Moth* is “transformation.” Through arrangements ranging from the grand to the intimate, it explores themes of self-acceptance, surrender, and the courage to face uncomfortable emotions head-on rather than running from them. *The Moth* is both a journey and the culmination of his artistic journey.\n\nThis release is a 2-CD set in an O-card format.
