The group, which grew out of the church of former gang leader turned evangelist, Pastor Tom Skinner, became famous as the backing band for his own revival-style evangelistic performances, touring full time for 20 years, playing over 260 shows a year, and becoming a major force in the gospel and Christian music scenes across the U.S. The band has had a tremendous impact on the gospel and Christian music scene throughout the United States. Originally released in 1982 by Rainbow, a Texas gospel and CCM label. Recorded at Rainbow Sound in Dallas, Texas, the album features expertly crafted modern soul instrumentals and gospel-style lyrics that reflect a dedication to their message.
