Following their 2023 debut album *GoodLies*, which introduced the world to their phenomenal talent, they are releasing their second album, *PureDevotion*, via XL Recordings.\n\nBeginning in 2024 as an attempt to boldly reconstruct Overmono’s live sets, “PureDevotion” has since evolved into a phenomenon. From closing the West Holts stage at Glastonbury to selling out a show at London’s Alexandra Palace, headlining and curating at Manchester’s Warehouse Project, and touring the U.S., Australia, and Japan—while many artists are left exhausted after a tour, Overmon only grew more eager to enter the studio and create new music. While continuing to produce music throughout the tour, they released a series of collaborative works with Joy Orbison, High Contrast, Fred Again., Lil Yachty, Kwengface, and The Streets. Each of these has garnered significant popularity and acclaim.\n\nTitled “PureDevotion” after the live series, this marks Overmon’s most ambitious project to date. What you’ll find here is beautiful imperfection, equipment glitches, and sounds born of serendipity. And what makes all of this work is the unwavering confidence cultivated by Overmon—a group that has been active at the forefront of underground electronic music for many years and has since leaped to become one of the defining dance music acts of the past decade. Across all 11 tracks, Overmon boldly expands the very boundaries of recording techniques. They incorporate experimental production techniques, such as using synthesizers from the 70s and 80s, old train announcement speakers, and even actually baking crash cymbals in an oven. Every choice is imbued with a strong will and a physical sensibility, a sensibility that also resonates in the emotionally rich vocals of renowned British poet John Joseph Holt, close collaborator Kindra, and Rasven of PaulInstitute.
