Last Splash" by The Breeders, one of the leading alternative rock bands of the 90's in the U.S., has been reissued in a remastered edition with previously unreleased songs to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release. The Breeders were formed by Kim Diehl, a member of the Pixies, one of the leading alternative rock bands of the 90's in the US. This year marks the 30th anniversary of their classic album "Last Splash". Recorded by Kim Deal, Kelly Deal, Josephine Wiggs, and Jim McPherson, the Breeders' signature members, and featuring the classic song "Cannonball," which everyone fell in love with, the album quickly became an alternative rock classic and went platinum in the UK and It went platinum in the U.K. and the U.S., and was ranked in Pitchfork's "Top 100 Albums of the 1990s. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of "Last Splash," the album was remastered from the original analog tapes, which were thought to have been lost. As a result, two previously unreleased tracks were discovered and reissued as a fan-favorite item.The unreleased "Go Man Go" was co-written by Kim Diehl and Black Francis, and "Divine Mascis" is an arranged version of "Divine Hammer" featuring J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. Divine Mascis" is an arranged version of "Divine Hammer" featuring lead vocals by J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. For this special edition, the iconic cover art by the late legendary designer Vaughn Oliver has been beautifully reimagined by his longtime design partner Chris Bigg. The import 2LP includes a 12" (etched on one side) and 16-page booklet featuring previously unreleased tracks.
