It is, so to speak, a dream team of wind instrumentalists. The recording *Poulenc: Complete Chamber Music* (RCA, 1999), in which the core members participated before the ensemble took the name “Les Vents Français,” won the Grand Prize at the *Académie du Disque* that same year. The members had been performing together long before that; in particular, at the Salon-de-Provence International Chamber Music Festival “Musique à L’Empéri,” organized by Le Sage, Payu, and Meye, most of the members have been sharing the stage for over 20 years, since the festival’s inception.
