The album features a diverse selection of works, ranging from well-known, charming songs like Fauré’s “Chanson d’amour” (Song of Love)—which gives the album its title—and Poulenc’s “Le petit chemin de l’amour” (The Little Path of Love), to Ravel’s “Five Greek Folk Songs,” and Debussy’s “Forgotten Little Songs”—song cycles that the duo were determined to include—this diverse collection is packed with the “feelings they want to express right now,” and listeners are sure to embark on a variety of musical journeys simply by listening.
