This is the previously unreleased \"TUSCALOOSA,\" a live recording of a February 5, 1973 performance at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, under the name Neil Young \u0026amp; the Stray Gators. Between his solo tours and tours with Crazy Horse, Neil Young toured with the Stray Gators from 1971 to 1973 to pursue the sound style he was pursuing at the time. The Stray Gators, consisting of Tim Drummond (b), Kenny Betley (dr), Jack Nitsche (piano), and Ben Keith (steel guitar), also participated in the recording of Neil's 1972 masterpiece \"Harvest\", and later recorded the live album The Stray Gators also participated in the recording of Neil's masterpiece \"Harvest\" in 1972, and can be heard on the live album \"Time Fades Away\" released in 1973.This rare and previously unreleased live archive album, \"TUSCALOOSA,\" includes the song \"Here We Are In The Years\" from Neil's seminal debut album, \"NEIL YOUNG,\" and classic tracks from his most successful albums of his early career, \"AFTER THE GOLDRUSH\" (1970) and \"HARVEST\" (1972), which were the most successful albums of Neil's early career.
