Döhler, who learned piano from Benedict in Naples and Czerny in Vienna, showed his talent to the fullest.His fame reached its peak during his European concert tours to Italy, Germany, France, and Russia, where he achieved aristocratic status and married a Russian princess, a success story. ■Alexander Dryschok (1818-1869), a Bohemian musician who was invited to become a professor at the Petersburg Conservatory and appointed court pianist in Russia, but was unable to adapt to his environment and died in Italy, where he emigrated. As a pianist, his astonishing technique, especially the overwhelming presence of his left hand, made an impact in many places.
