He is the first solo clarinetist ever to sign an exclusive contract with the DG label. He is also a model and a star player. Andreas was born in 1989 and became the principal clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic in 2011 at the age of just before 22. His father, Ernst, is the principal of the Vienna Philharmonic, a popular orchestra in Japan, and his brother, Daniel, is a thoroughbred from a very elite clarinet family. While maintaining the traditional Viennese soft and meaty tone, Ernst has a functional and sharp flexibility that is in tune with the 21st century, and at a young age, he is able to compete with the best players of the Berlin Philharmonic. On her debut disc, she presents a stunning portrait of the clarinet that conveys the breadth of its expression, interspersing concertos from the 18th and 20th centuries, each of which is considered difficult, with smaller pieces that are connected to her own musical career.A versatile 21st century star is born, who also works as a model and plays in the top league of Austrian amateur soccer!
