Beautiful and melancholy Rachmaninoff performed by young musicians Aya Matsumoto, a young pianist, and Zephiran Rey-Beret, a cellist, perform a collection of Rachmaninoff's works. The two are unafraid to sing their own songs in high spirits on these pieces, which have been performed by many greats in the past. In the cello sonata, the piano beautifully colors the cello melody supported by ample rubato. The piano accompaniment is not strong, but it is impressive in the way it leaves a lingering impression.
