He also liked to listen to and play Bill Evans and Bud Powell. His albums are unique in that, unlike previous music, they interweave contemporary music (jazz improvisation) with a musician who has fully studied and made the classical tradition his own. This innovative lyricism and variety of styles has a coolness that is common to popular music.How could they come up with such innovative and beautiful music?
