The beautiful and lyrical works of Swiss composer Joachim Raff (1822-1882) were performed and enjoyed throughout Europe during his lifetime, but today they are still rarely performed, although there is a movement to re-evaluate them. However, among Raff's chamber music works, those composed for cello deserve special attention.The year 2022 marks the 200th anniversary of Joachim Ruff's birth and the 140th anniversary of his death.
