Italian composer Montemezzi's "L' incantesimo magic" is a short opera with a text by Sem Benelli, completed in 1933. The NBC Symphony Orchestra praised the opera. The bright, light Italian sound is impressive, with a clean sense of harmony mixed with Debussy-style whole-tone scales. The fact that Debussy and Fauré were performed on the same day was probably due to the thought of tonal associations. King International
