The title \"Chronotope\" is a term used by the Russian philosopher Mikhail Bakhtin to describe the concept of \"time and space\" (\"chronos\" and \"topos\") as they appear in language and are experienced in conversation. The work consists of three parts and has a performance time of approximately 46 minutes; it was premiered on January 20, 2016, with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, and a recording session took place six months later at the Oslo Concert Hall. Norwegian composer Bjorn Kruse Bjorn Kruse was born in London in 1946.He studied at UCLA (California State University, Los Angeles) and the Norwegian National Academy of Music. From 1976 to 2013, he taught composition, arranging, jazz arranging, jazz history, and pop music history at the Academy and was the leader of the Academy's jazz ensemble. He has written more than 150 works, including operas, orchestral and chamber music, and choral works, such as \"Song for Winter\" (Aurora ACD5000), one of his most famous works. Clarinetist Fredrik Fors (1973-) was born in Borlänge, Sweden. He studied at the Borlänge Music School and made his debut as a soloist in a concert with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra in 1988. After working with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, he has been the assistant principal of the Oslo Philharmonic since 1995.
