Description:

This is her ninth new album in five years, following her last album "Let England Shake," which won the Mercury Music Prize for the second time in her career. Produced with Flood and John Parrish, this album documents her travels to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Washington, DC. The songs were written and recorded over a five-week period in a specially built studio at Somerset House in London. The recording was called "Recording in Process," a project that allowed PJ Harvey to share with the public the process of creating an album with the band and the producer.
