He studied with John Field in Moscow and with Thalberg and Zechter in Vienna. She was an international virtuoso who performed throughout Europe, as well as in the United States and Asia. He was active at the same time as Chopin and is said to have corresponded with him in Paris. As a composer, he left many fantasias, exercises, meditations, waltzes, and mazurkas, especially his \"The Lion's Wake, Heroic Fantasy for 4-handed Piano, Op. 115\" was very popular. Although he was often overshadowed by his younger brother (a renowned violinist), he was also active as a pedagogue at the Berlin Conservatory and in St. Petersburg, and had a wide influence on the music world through his contacts with Hans von Bülow and others.\n\n\n\nThis album, the third in a series of world premiere recording projects to revive his vast body of works for the modern age, features masterpieces inspired by memories of his travels around the world, nature, and historical events.The works, which combine the flamboyant technique and lyricism typical of Romanticism, vividly portray a great forgotten pianist.\n\n\n\nThe concert will be performed by Sławomir Dobrzyński, a Polish pianist who studied at the Chopin Academy of Music and the University of Connecticut. In addition to performing in more than 30 countries, he has written the first English-language biography of the 19th-century female composer Maria Szymanowska, recorded her complete piano works, and devoted himself to the revival of the works of forgotten composers such as Kontcki and Labunski. She is currently a professor in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Kansas State University and was awarded the title of \"Polish Cultural Merit\" in 2017 for her contributions to Polish music.\n\nTokyo M-Plus","brand":"Acte Prealable","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51929211273505,"sku":"5901741655946","price":23.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/5901741655946.jpg?v=1760870523","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/it-it\/products\/5901741655946","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
