Three years after their last album "Bloom," which reached No. 7 on the U.S. charts and received a 9.1 score on the U.S. music website Pitchfork, the dream-pop duo Beach House has released their long-awaited fifth album "Depression Cherry" on the Bella Union label. With the band's success, the environment surrounding them has become huge, and the sound they produce has become exaggerated, leading them to a place far away from their own musicality. However, they commented, "We want to evolve without regard to our commercial position in the industry. The album was produced by the band themselves and renowned producer Chris Cody (TV on the Radio, Ya Ya Ya's, etc.), and was recorded in Louisiana, USA. This is a superb pop album with Victoria's luscious vocals and dreamy, melancholic tracks.
