Ivana Gavrilic was born in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and moved to the UK in 1992. Gavrych's new album, "Gavrych's New Album", was released in March 2011. Gavrych's new album "Origins" is about the music and Haydn of Sarajevo, Gavrych's hometown, which is a diverse and rich cultural blend. The third movement of Haydn's "Piano Concerto No. 11 in D major" is titled "Hungarian Rondo" but is thought to be based on a Croatian or Bosnian folk melody, while the piano concerto "Between the Skies, the River & theHills" by the young British composer Cheryl Francis-Hord (b.1980), which is also a popular folk song "Between the Skies, the River & theHills", is a popular anthem of Haydn's concerto and Sarajevo. Between the Skies, the River & theHills" was inspired by Haydn's concerto and the folk song "When I went to Bembasa," which is also a popular unofficial anthem in Sarajevo. The work was composed in 2018 and premiered by Gavrych. The margins also include Haydn homage works by Debussy, Ravel, and Dukas, as well as a piano version of a Sarajevo folk song arranged by Francis-Hord.
