She studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory under the tutelage of Anner Bylsma and Lucie van Daal, and made her impressive London debut in 2015 as a rising star violinist on the European ancient music scene.With a repertoire that spans from the 17th to the 21st centuries, Silverstein's first album boasts a rich program of unaccompanied violin works ranging from Biber's \"Passacaglia\" and Bach's \"Chaconne\" to Berio's \"Sequenza\" and Charino's \"Capriccio\". The program is a dense program of mainly unaccompanied violin works. After much deliberation, the instrument used was limited to one J.B. Villaume 1856 violin (Guarneri del Gesu model), and as shown in the jacket photo, three types of bows were used: a 17th century Italian model bow, an 18th century model baroque bow, and a modern bow.
